Lately I’ve become obsessed with Pixi Skintreats. It happened all of a sudden and the next thing I knew I was in too deep. The great thing is, I’ve really been enjoying the products I’ve purchased thus far. At the start of the year, I decided to amp up my skincare and that included adding a few treatments and products that would treat skincare problems I deal with.
Everyone’s raging about serums right now, which are products that allow you to enhance treatment of a skincare issue you’re facing. There are serums for hypermigmentation, acne, oil control, etc. No serum is one size fits all. When I saw Pixi’s Overnight Glow Serum, I was instantly interested – the word “glow” kinda does that to me lol! I didn’t want to shell out a ton of money for a serum just yet so I decided to get my feet wet with Pixi. The Overnight Glow Serum claims to:
Exfoliate & soothe skin with this miracle serum that works while you sleep to reveal a brighter complexion. Formulated with 10% glycolic acid & arginine, it helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and fade sun spots over time. Enriched with cucumber & aloe vera extracts to calm skin and vitamins A, C & E to nourish.
I’ve been using this serum nightly for a little of three weeks (in conjunction with several other Pixi products) and I see a noticeable difference in my skin. Here’s how I do it: wash, tone, serum, moisturizer. I don’t have fine lines but I did have some dark spots on my cheeks and I noticed my skin was looking a tad bit dull, Chicago winters will do that to me. Since, I’ve been using this I do notice brighter skin, dark spots have faded, and a huge thing is that the pores on my cheeks are noticeably smaller. This product does not claim to reduce the size of pores so that may be due to the Pixi Glow Tonic that I’ve also been using daily.
My only gripe about the product is the packaging, it’s beautiful but the dropper it comes with is not functional. I get hardly any product into the dropper and just end up using it as a dipper more than anything. Additionally, the dropper is provided for separate attachment and after attaching it’s not sturdy. It feels like it can fall off at any point and be lost in the bottle. Luckily, the malfunctioning dropper doesn’t prevent me from using the product.
