I’m always excited about new body products, especially from Shea Moisture. I’m in love with a majority of the body products so when I saw a mention of new goods on Twitter I headed to my nearest Target to get in on the action. The Zanzibar line is a Target exclusive and products can be purchased in store or online.
The Zanzibar Marine Complex line has a lotion, body polish, body wash, and a hand cream. My favorite of these right now is the body polish. I’ve heard of exfoliators, creams, gels, washes, etc. but body polish is new to me. It’s like your everyday wash except it has exfoliants and doesn’t have an oil base like most scrubs. You can literally wash and rinse.
Here’s how it’s described on the Target website:
A rich creamy body polish that gently cleanses and refines skin. Instantly lifts away dry, dull skin to reveal a fresh new surface while boosting brightness. Our exclusive blend of marine extracts including Carrageenan (Red Algae) helps soothe and transform skin by immersing it in moisture for new softness. Gentle enough for even sensitive skin.
Body Polish Contains:
• Zanzibar Marine Complex is a blend of Kelp, Carrageenan (Red Algae) and other Marine Algae Extracts hydrate, nourish and protect skin.
• Black Pearl Protein a symbol of timeless elegance. Helps moisturize and nourish skin while protecting against environmental effects.
• Sea Buckthorn Oil fatty acids, Phytosterols and vitamins protect and nourish the skin.
It smells so clean and fresh and leaves the entire bathroom fragrant after a shower. The aroma really transforms your bathroom into a mini spa. I can feel the exfoliants working as I wash and my skin does feel rejuvenated afterwards. The texture is really light, lighter than a cream body wash, and fluffy coming out of the tube.
Shea Moisture has done it again! And a bonus: As a part of the Shea Moisture Community Commerce Initiative, 10% of the sales of these products go to women-led businesses, to support communities that supply ingredients for Shea Moisture products, or to support The Sofi Tucker Foundation. How awesome is that?! My skin can be bomb and I can contribute to a great cause at the same time.
