I was |this| close to not purchasing this palette. I told myself “Taye you don’t need it, you only want that one eyeshadow and you have something similar anyway.” Then myself told me “girl buy that palette before you have FOMO,” so I bought the palette and I have no regrets. I’ll let you know I have not used this palette yet, I’ve mainly been admiring its beauty, but you can catch my full review of the first Nubian Palette here.
The palette construction is consistent with the first, twelve eyeshadows housed in a cardboard palette. This one is a light yellow and will probably stain/dirty just as easily as the first. The main difference (also noted on the wesbite) is that this place is twice the size of the original Nubian palette.
As far as I can tell the shadow quality is spot on to the first palette and the shadows swatched beautifully. This palette contains twelve bold eyeshadows to create a variety of looks. There are four matte shades (Morocco, Madagascar, Jezebel, and Kenya) and eight shimmer shades (Sheba, Yaa, Zuri, Cleopatra, Nefertiti, Nairobi, Leyla, and Egypt). The shades that initially caught my eye are Egypt and Morocco, I just love those colors. I was pleasantly surprised when I swatched Cleopatra and it was so smooth, creamy, and vibrant!
These swatches were done in natural daylight, on unprimed skin, with one swipe of the shadow.
The Nubian 2 palette retails for $28.99 (USD) and can be purchased at www.juviasplace.com.
