October is halfway over and I’ve started making my Christmas list to share with family and friends! Surprisingly, the beauty side of it is pretty short. I’m beyond underwhelmed with the holiday products that have been revealed thus far. Usually this is a time to get great palettes, sets at great pricing, awesome packaging, etc. As of late nothing is speaking to me so my wallet and others’ will be happy I’m sure. I do have my eye on a few things which I’m sharing below.
Boscia Perfectly Poreless Collection – If you have large pores, problem skin, experience blackheads frequently, get your hands on this Boscia set. Boscia does skin. The Luminizing Black Mask pulls everything out of your skin that you didn’t know was there without leaving your skin feeling tight or stripped. The Thermal Black Cleanser and Charcoal Sponge work together to rid skin of dirt, oils, makeup, and debris. They supposedly work great at refreshing the skin as well.
SEPHORA Superstars Collection – Sephora always releases a ton of value sets near the holidays that includes a range of mid to high end products at a discounted price. Some of the products are deluxe samples, travel sizes, even some full size items as well. Of the 2015 sets this one is my favorite because it seems to be the most brown girl friendly and the most versatile as well. The Laura Mercier Highlight and NARS eyeshadow really sold it for me.
Marc Jacobs Decadence is packaging porn for this girl, it was love at first. I wanted this perfume before I even knew how it smelled. Then I got a sample and my life changed. It wears so spicy but dries down to a fresh sweet fragrance which I absolutely love now. This bottle is going to look great on my vanity too! There are notes of plum, amber, rose, and saffron throughout.
Makeup’s Best Friend by beautyblender – Beauty blenders aren’t just your makeup’s best friend, they’re your best friend too. These little sponges are multi-purpose, easily cleaned, and obviously travel friendly. I have several beautyblenders and a few “dupes” and to be honest the dupes don’t compare, not even close. This set is a steal, 3 beautyblenders + cleanser for $40?! Two beautyblenders alone cost that much. If you haven’t jumped on the beautyblender bandwagon, now’s the time.
SEPHORA COLLECTION Glitter Happy Brush Set – This is extravagant but that’s what holidays are for! It’s so pretty and sparkly, I need it. This set comes with 6 brushes and the brush stand (which I could probably repurpose). The Sephora Collection brushes I own get the job done and haven’t tapped out on me so I don’t foresee this set being any different. I just can’t get enough rose gold and glitter!
NARS x Steven Klein Despair Cheek Palette – For the last few years I’ve always looked forward to the NARS holiday blush palettes so when I saw this one my soul said yes. These palettes are a great way to get into NARS blushes at a great price. The palettes are travel friendly and the shades are easily layered and buildable.
