No matter what store I’m in or what I’m there for, if they have a beauty section I’m browsing. I recently picked up a few items from my “try it” list at my local Walmart. I keep a running list of products I want to grab which helps me stay on track for the most part, random buys are still part of the equation.
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear – Mellow Yellow I’ve been looking for a yellow polish that would pop on my brown skin. I’m hoping I can stop my search with this one from Sally Hansen. I’ve seen it on a few people (varying shades) and it seems like a nice bright polish. Great for summer. ($2.50 USD)
L’Oreal Silkissime – Black is one of the softest and blackest drugstore eyeliners I’ve come across. Something weird happened with the last one I purchased so I’m hoping that one was just a batch defect because I really do like this liner and it’s staying power. ($6.99 USD)
Real Techniques Angled Foundation Brush I saw this brush in a few YouTube videos being used for contouring and concealer application. I’m a huge fan of the Real Techniques line so this one was definitely added to my must-have list. I can’t wait to try it out and see how many ways I can make it work. ($7.99 USD)
Black Opal True Color Pore Perfecting Liquid Foundation – Carob I’m late to this bandwagon but I decided to pick up Black Opal’s newest foundation because I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about it. One of my favorite YouTubers, Jacki Aina, says it’s similar (if not better than) the NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation. I got the shade Carob because in the bottle Ebony Brown looked too dark for my skin tone. This foundation claims to have “poreless technology that helps minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, controls excess oil, and renews skin natural radiance.” I’m sure I’ll do a follow-up post on this one. Thus far, I like the frosted bottle and the fact that it has a huge cap and a pump. ($10.99 USD)
